Photonic quantum computing

When I first read of the company PsiQuantum a couple of years ago, I had some gut feeling of great potential triggered inside of me that I’ve only ever experienced once before; and that was when I first read about the Fatum Project/Randonauts.
(The psi in the name I guess comes from the wave function, not as a reference to the psi area of research us forum members are interested.)

MMI applications aside, I find this photonic approach to the modality of quantum computing fascinating. The room temperature operations and nanosecond time scales and scaling potential are rather exciting compared to the likes of trapped ions and super conducting (but that’s all I can invest in at the moment so I’m waiting for a photonics company to go IPO!)

This article sums up their current work rather nicely;
